Mildred Arlene Fasching, 90, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, November 25, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born September 3, 1923 to George and Flora (Montgomery) Edkins in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She married Corbett Hiram Fasching, Sr. on December 25, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2006.
Mildred graduated from Benton High School. She worked for Quaker Oats for twenty-two years then later worked at General Dynamics Convair in San Diego, California for fiteen years until her retirement.
Mrs. Fasching enjoyed crocheting, bowling and dancing.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Forest, Wayne and George.
Survivors: children, Corbett Fasching, II. (Stacey) and Stephanie Marbut (Phil); stepdaughter, Elamae Campbell (Doc); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister, LaReta Sievers (Bill); and brother, Ace Edkins (Barbara).

Oneita Mae Lammers 87, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital. She was born November 14, 1926 in St. Mary’s, Kansas, daughter of Ella and Gordon VanHorn. She worked at Western Union in Kansas City, then the Savannah Jail, and Ferris Wheel Restaurant. She enjoyed going to the boat, spending time with her children and grandchildren, baking, spoiling her grandchildren with Orea Cookie Pie, and children with Ginger Snap bars. She was a member of the Tops # 902, and was a Christian. Oneita was preceded in death by husband, Osker Lammers, father, Ira Gordon VanHorn, step mother, Effie Vanhorn, mother, Ella Mae VanHorn, brother, James VanHorn, sister, Erma Lee Fisher. Survivors include, four daughters, Wanda (Loyde) Anderson of Saint Joseph, MO, Ella (Jim) Roach of Trimble, MO, Ida Smith of Belle, MO, and Linda Williams of St. Joseph, MO, three sons, Steven Lammers of St. Joseph, MO, Ron Lammers, and Henry (Carol) Lammers of Savannah, MO, brother, Leroy VanHorn of Salina, KS, 1/2 brother, Larry VanHorn of Oklahoma , numerous, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
