Glenda Gale Wilson-Cline 52, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph, MO. She was born August 16, 1962 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Rosemary and Gene Wilson. She graduated from Benton High School class of 1980 and attended college in Arizona to further her career in Nuclear Health. She married Harry Cline on October 4, 2009 and he survives of the Home. She worked as a Senior Radiation Protection Technician. Glenda enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing pool, she loved animals especially her dogs Elvis, and Duchess, she was a member of Freedom of the Road Riders and a Christian. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Les Frederick and former husband, Brad Oliver. Survivors include, husband, Harry Cline of the home, step-mother, Martha Wilson of St. Joseph, MO, daughter, MerRanda (Justin) McHam of Russellville, AR, former son in law, Ronnie Jewell of Arkansas, grandchildren, Megan & Ethan Jewell, two brothers, Chris and Bruce Wilson of St. Joseph, MO, five sisters, Jerri (Don) Fischer of Agency, MO, Cindy Farris (Tim Miner) of St. Joseph, MO, sister, Becky (Greg) Lane of South Carolina, Lori Frederick of St. Joseph, MO, sister, Kay (Kevin) Ulmer of Indiana, several, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was born on December 7, 1924 to Russell and Neva Stegman in King City, MO.
He married Louise Lewis on July 7, 1950.
They have three living children; Sue (Mark) Klingensmith, David (Jan) Stegman and Dawn (Dan) Bunch.
Their son Shawn is deceased.
There are six grandsons; Scott (Miranda) Stegman of Wichita, KS; Travis (Ashlie) Stegman, Ross Stegman, Kevin and Cody Bunch of St. Joseph; and Brad Klingensmith of Olathe, KS. They also have four great-grandchildren.
Wayne was a member of Moila Shrine, the Scottish Rite, and the Legion of Honor. He received his Eagle Scout award while in high school. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946. He earned a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and was a P.O.W.
He graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree and earned his Master’s in Education and Administration. He taught and was Vice Principal at Central High School from 1953-1958. From 1958-1989 he worked in the grain business. He retired from Farmland and AGP. He was a member of and president of the St. Joseph Grain Exchange. He was president of the MO Agriculture Industries Council for 1975. In 1975-76 he was a member of Kit Bond’s Advisory Council on Agriculture.
Music, golf (with 4 holes-in-one) gardening, bowling, fishing, refinishing furniture, traveling, camping, playing cards and being with his family were many of the ways Wayne spent his life. He loved singing at church and in quartets. He sang with the Glen Miller band in Paris. He was also passionate about his harmonica. He could “hear” harmony and shared his talent all around.
In May of 2008 at the State Convention of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans), he was designated the Distinguished Veteran of the Year for the State of Missouri. In September 2012 he was fortunate enough to travel on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C.
He told his grandchildren he was the “most veteran of all veterans.” He was truly proud to be an American.
He joined the First Baptist Church in 1961 and was a very active member on committees, in choir and extra activities the church offered. He organized a beginning trumpet and harmonica classes for youth at the church. He had an active faith in Jesus, was a blessing to know, and to have as a father and friend.
Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday May 11 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Memorial Service: 10:00 AM Tuesday May 12 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Inurnment at Ashland Cemetery.

William E. Smith

William was born July 15, 1924 in Amity, Missouri to Edward and Lena (Fisher) Smith.
He was employed by Swift & Company for over 42 years, retiring in 1987. William was a member of Deer Park Grace United Methodist Church.
William married Helen L. Guyer January 16, 1946. She preceded him in death September 26, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving family includes children, Gary (Debbie) Smith, Ronald Smith and Janis Smith, all of St. Joseph; grandchildren Kimberly Day and Brandon Smith and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.

She worked for J.C. Penney’s as a Sales Associate for over 12 years. Louise was a member of St. Ann’s Altar Society and helped with Moila Shrine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, William Seever, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Louise married Marion Seever June 2, 1942 in Atchison, Kansas. He survives of the home.
Additional surviving family includes daughter, Anita (David) Radmer and son, Robert Seever, both of St. Joseph; sons, Richard Seever, Rocheport, Missouri; and Randall (Kathleen) Seever, Rochester Hills, Michigan; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Moila Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

He married Judy Miller on August 30, 1959 and they shared 57 years together. He worked the co-owner of Shirtworks. Rick was an avid sportsman, he liked to golf and snow mobiling. He loved Nascar and enjoyed wintering in Texas. He was a Christian. Rick was preceded in death by daughter, Michele Byers, brother, Terry Minnick, and his parents. Survivors include, wife, Judy Minnick of the home, daughter, Robin Dailey of St. Joseph, MO, foster daughter, Marcia Hennis of AZ, son-in-law, Scott Byers, seven grandchildren: Christopher Carrigan, Jessica Gillispie, Devon Byers, Seth Daily, Samantha Mitchell, Katie Dailey, and Ashley Carrigan, 10 great grandchildren, and a brother, Donald (Sue) Minnick of Stevens Point, WI.

He was born April 25, 1925 in St. Joseph, Missouri son of Christina & James Wachtel. He graduated from Lafayette High School. Then joined the United States Navy and is a veteran of WW II, the Korean, and Vietnam wars, then retired after 19 1/2 years of service. While in service he participated in the Asia-Pacific theatre, the Philippine Liberation, China service, as well as the Asia-European naval service, and received many awards and citation with the service he performed. After the Navy he worked at Johnson Controls, and was a Bailiff for the Buchanan County Sheriffs department. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and family gatherings. James was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Betty Sollars his 1st wife Bertha Irene Sutton of which he later divorced, 2nd wife Mary “Jo” Woods of which he married on February 18, 1958 in Belvedere, Il. Survivors include 5 children from his first marriage; Robert Kruck, Christina, Laura “Micky” (W.C.) Pence, Shirley, and Diane (Gary) Wells, four children from his second marriage, John (Lori) Wachtel of St. Joseph, MO, James (Pauline) Wachtel, Lou Ann Ellingson of Chesapeake, VA, and Michael Wachtel, 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday (Tonight) at the Rupp Funeral Home. He will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. Daisy was a homemaker who loved her children and family dinners. She was very involved at The Andrew County Senior Center. She enjoyed dancing and playing pitch.
She is survived three daughters; Joyce Benight of Faucett, MO, Janet & J.B. Phillippe of Savannah, and Jacqueline & Benjamin Boyer of Savannah; six grandchildren, Kim & Cindy Kennedy, Kelli & Sean Nelson, Ryan & Raychel Phillippe, Sarah Pedersen, Shaundrea Boyer, Slater Boyer, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother-in-law Susanna & Herman Siddens, and son-in-law Gus Benight.
Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 8, 2015 at Breit – Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be from 10:00-11:00am Friday May 8, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Savannah Cemetery.

She was a great mother never complained lived life for her family and a great cook who every Sunday had fried chicken for dinner for the family,

Glenn enjoyed golf, fishing, playing cards, and played for the Kansas City Athletics. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and a history buff.
Mr. Boos requested that his body be donated to science.

She was born October 23, 1921 in Cashton, WI, daughter of Mary and William Mehleis, and has lived in St. Joseph since 1986 after the passing of her husband Ormey J. Yougs. She was a loving, devoted and very caring mother, and grandmother affectionatley known as Granny. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ormey John Youngs, two sons, John and Leo Youngs, two brothers, Joseph and Leo Mehleis, a sister, Frances Benoit, a grandchild and a son-in-law, Tim Rice. Survivors include daughter, Marie Rice of St. Joseph, MO, eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Heather was born August 21, 1984, in Maryville to Steve and Renae (Morrow) Smyser.

A graduate of Maryville High School in 2003, she was a graduate of Vatterott College and was employed at the Nodaway County Association of Group Homes as Direct Support at Julie Group Home, Maryville.

Preceding in death were her father Steve Smyser and grandfathers Dwain Morrow and Bill Smyser.

Survivors include her mother Renea Smyser, Maryville, brother Steven Smyser, Maryville, grandmothers Virginia Robison, Grant City, Missouri, and Ida Smyser, Maryville, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Special Friends.

He married Karen McClanahan on Sept. 22, 1964 and she survives of the home. He served in the United States Navy / Seabee’s during the Vietnam War. He retired from Stone Container as a Machine operator. He loved to Bass fish and received several Master Angler Awards, he also loved to Mushroom hunt. He was a Christian. David was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jessica “JJ” Christlieb, a grandson, J.D. Becerra, and a sister, Maxine Penrod. Survivors include, wife, Karen Admire of the home, and a daughter, Wendy (Jeff) Becerra of St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren, Kyle (Alaina) Becerra of Olathe, KS, Kelly Christlieb of Highland, KS, and Connor (Laci) Christlieb of St. Joseph, MO, 3 great grandchildren, Braylon, Jaiven, and Jessica, and a sister, Karen Arnold of Phoenix, AZ.

John W. Zimmerman

Zimmerman, John. obitphotoJohn W. Zimmerman, Maryville, MO, passed away on May 4, 2015 in Maryville, MO after a long illness. He was born October 7, 1934 in Maryville, MO to Chris and Florence Busby Zimmerman. On April 18, 1959 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Lucille Riley. The Zimmermans recently celebrated 56 years of marriage.
John graduated from Maryville High School in 1952. In the summer of 1957 he enlisted for service as he had been a member of the National Guard. He was to be sent overseas and leave in the fall of that year. During that summer, he met Lucille and shortly thereafter lost his right hand due to a farming accident during the fall harvest. John overcame this obstacle without complaint, as he did all obstacles in his life. He served as Nodaway County Clerk for 32 years, was a member of the Lion’s Club, active in St. Gregory’s Church, and farmed all of his life.
John is survived by his wife Lucille; daughter Debbie (Zimmerman) Snyder, spouse Stan, sons Andy and Sam; son Kelly Zimmerman, partner Jessica Whaley and his sons Kirk and Zack; son Rob Zimmerman, spouse Cammi and children Johnathan (spouse Katey and their daughter K’Lynne), Jackson, and step-daughter Darbi Fuhrman; son Mick Zimmerman, partner Julie Hewitt and her grandchildren ReAnna Hewitt and Kellin Wilkie; and daughter Sherry (Zimmerman) Schoonbeck, spouse Mark and their children Allison and Erik.
He is also survived by six siblings, Dick, Elkhorn, NE; Phil, Savannah, MO; Steve, Rolla, MO; Chuck, Peoria, AZ; Dan, Ada, OK; and Esther (Zimmerman) Coffelt, spouse Jerry, Ravenwood, MO; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Norbert, Kenneth, Jerry, Christine Upschulte, Rita Parker, and Helen Bowers.
The family would like for John to be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all, kind, sweet, fun-loving, and sometimes ornery.

She was born November 9, 1962, to Alice and James “Pete” Kennedy in Albany, Mo.
Sandra married Martin Davis on October 21, 1978, and to this union, three children were born.
Sandra was artistic. She enjoyed painting and drawing in her free time. After marriage, Sandra worked as a cook at the Holiday Inn and Snow White, in St. Joseph.
She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed the company of her grandchildren at each Sunday service.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, loved to cook and especially bake pies. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren, who she loved spending time with.
Sandra was a very caring mother, who did everything she could to care for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Michael Kennedy.
Sandra is survived by her loving family, including: children, Amber (Matt) Casada, of St. Joseph, Jeremy (Ashley) Davis, of Columbia, Mo., and Ceirra Wayne, of Seward, Alaksa; grandchildren, Quintin and Madeline Casada, of St. Joseph, Julia Wayne, of Seward, and Avery Davis, of Columbia; sisters, Angela (Robert) Embrey and Pamela (Tom) Geoffroy; brother, Bobby Kennedy, all of St. Joseph; numerous nieces and nephews, including Erica (Brandon) Flores, Dustin, Dylan and Danielle (Kai) Embrey and many others, who she loved dearly.

He was born March 19, 1920 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Bill married Carmen A. Persson on October 29, 1950, she preceded him in death on January 24, 2007.
He graduated from Central High School class of 1938 and in his younger years worked at Western Dairy. Bill proudly served in the Army Air Corps, during World War II as a Tech Sergeant. Upon his return he attended and graduated from the University of Missouri, where he was a member of Zeta Phi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi Social Fraternity. He worked for Quaker Oats and following that he served as Vice President at Drew Chemical Company. He founded Star Blends in St. Joseph in 1964.
He was also preceded in death by his; parents, August and Elizabeth (Fonderman) Fenner; and daughter, Mary N. ?Poppy? Fenner; brothers, George, August and Richard Fenner; sisters, Elsie Fenner, Wessie Starbuck, Claire Tatum, Helen Shouse, and Dorthy Bland; and his dog Buddy.
Survivors include sons, Bill Fenner, Jr (Sandra K.) and James P. Fenner (Dominique); four grandchildren, Claire Fenner, Joseph Fenner, Christina McCain (Kelly), Elizabeth Fenner; and great-grandchildren, Jameson Fenner and Elizabeth Rose McCain.
He was a kind and generous father who loved his family, friends, employees and customers. He was a wonderful role model. Words cannot express how fortunate we were to have him as our Dad and Grandfather.

Marvin Donald Maxwell, 75, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his home.
Marvin was born on March 25, 1940 in St. Joseph to Clarence and Helen (Smygel) Maxwell.
He graduated from Central High School in 1958 and later received his LPN License. Following high school, Marvin joined the United States Army in 1963 where he served as a Medic and retired in 1979.
Marvin was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 571, St. Joseph General Assembly #569, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Moila Shrine, VFW Post 6760 and American Legion # 359. He loved also fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Audrey Woods.
Marvin married Katherine Duke on January 6, 1989 in St. Joseph. She survives of the home.
Additional surviving family includes daughters, Tracey (Dale) Lindsey, Kansas City, Missouri; Barbara (Kevin) Sypniewski, Danville, California; Step-daughters, Sheila (Ryan) Tudor, St. Joseph, Missouri; and Margo (Chris) Mathewson, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; sister, Myrtle Holland; brothers, Robert Maxwell and William Maxwell; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-laws.

He was born September 29, 1946 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Ethel and Edward Groshong. He graduated from Benton High School. Dwayne was preceded in death by father, Edward Groshong, mother, Ethel Maxine Roberts step father James Roberts. Survivors include, stepson, Deveren (Georgeann) Blair of Lees Summit, MO, cousin, Debbie Dietz. Dwayne joined the United States Navy on October 9, 1963 at the age of 17 & became a Navy Seabee. Dwayne or Groundhog as his navy friends referred to him served his country with pride, with duty stations in Port Hueneme, California, Viet Nam, Guam and many places in-between. Giving 26 years of dedicated service to his county he retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer on September 1989. During the time of his service he returned home to marry his now past wife Rebecca whom along with her son Deveren Blair, joined him in his navy ventures. During one of his tours in Adak, Alaska he lost the love of his life Rebecca, but remained the Step Father to her son Deveren; providing a good home and father figure to him, until which time as Deveren chose to Join the Navy and become a Construction Electrician just like his stepfather. Upon retirement Hog perused his second lifelong dream; that of having his own automotive shop & within the year opened ‘Groundhog’s Auto Repair’. This dream grew into a very large and well known Automotive Shop in the Oxnard, California area. After 17 years of business, in the year 2006, he decided it was time to pack up, return home and fully retire. Both in military and private business he always gave of himself, sharing knowledge, training, and giving his very best to all endeavors. Dwayne was a man full of life, a man with a rough exterior and a heart of gold. He enjoyed surrounding himself with close friends and family spending his free time enjoying life. He had a passion for fishing and hunting. He mastered the Bass Fishing Process, and was known to regularly catch and release 5-15 pound bass. He also became an avid deer hunter, hunting with a small group of 3-4 friends annually always filling his two tag limit. Dwayne was also a member of many veterans’ service and fraternal organizations. He was an active member and officer in American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Fleet Reserve Association. Also fraternal member of the Masons’, his first lodge being in Guam under the Grand Lodge of the Philippines, and later affiliated with Oxnard Lodge 341 in Oxnard under the Grand Lodge of California. He was also a member of Aloha Shrine Temple of Hawaii. Yet another small example of his big heart and willingness to give of himself.Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home. Mary was born July 20, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri to Arthur Lee and
Mary Ramona (Corrigan) Flowers. Mary and Orren “Tex” Randle were married
May 31, 1958, in Bedford, Iowa.

A high school graduate she was a clerk at Hy-Vee for many years and a member
of the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Tex Randle (May 9,
2006).

Mary is survived by her sister Phyllis Morehouse, Hopkins; children: Steve
(Lori) Gilbert, Logan, Iowa, Terri K. (Lindsey) Milinkov, Ashland, Missouri,

Betty was born March 21, 1939 to Frederick and Margaret (King) Kuehner in St. Joseph where she resided her entire life. She attended Lafayette High School and was an active member of Savannah Avenue Baptist Church. On October 8, 1955, she married the father of her children, Dallas Poling, and he preceded her in death in 1979. Betty worked many years as a seamstress, retiring from Lakeland Industries. Following retirement, she spent time volunteering. Betty was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star. She loved reading, working puzzle books and sewing. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Preceding her in death are her parents; brothers, Bill Kuehner, Fred Kuehner, and Jim Kuehner and his wife Judy.

Judith A. Evans, 67, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Diversicare in St. Joseph, MO. She was born on April 10, 1948 in St. Joseph, MO to John & Leveta (Propes) Penington.

Judith was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Judith was a dispatcher for Andrew County Sheriff’s Department for 18 years. She enjoyed ceramics and painting in her spare time. She was a member of Rosendale Christian Church.

Evelyn married Louis Schubert on June 13, 1942. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1991.
She worked for H.D. Lee Company and American Family Insurance and was an active volunteer.
Evelyn was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, St. Ann?s Altar Society, Past President of the American Legion Aux #11, Ladies Aux of VFW #1668 and Past Chapeau of Buchanan County Salon 530.
Mrs. Schubert was also preceded in death by her parents, Eulie and Beulah (Hockaday) Warner; daughter, Elaine Ball; sons, David and Louis Schubert; brother, Ivan Warner; and sisters, Rosie Albertson and Betty Martin.

He was born March 28, 1923 in Lavonia, Georgia.
James married Una Stinson Grubbs on April 26, 1952.
James proudly served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 as a 3rd Class Radioman during World War II. He was a graduate of Fayetteville, Georgia High School and received his Bachelor?s Degree at Mercy University in Macon, Georgia and Minister of Divinity degree at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a pastor at First Baptist in Bethany, Missouri from 1962-1970 and Copeland Baptist in St. Joseph, Missouri from 1970-1985.
Rev. Grubbs was a former member of the Rotary Club and City Planning Commission in Bethany, Missouri and a former volunteer for the United Way of Harrison County. He was also an avid gardener.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Sara (Haynie) Grubbs; sister, Thedrel Grubbs; brothers, Theodore ?Slim? Grubbs, Lonnie Grubbs, Robert Grubbs and Marion ?Pete? Grubbs; and infant sister, Sara Grubbs.
Survivors include wife; daughter, Ellen Gregory (Larry), Liberty, Missouri; two grandchildren, Lindsey and Emmy; brother, Kenneth ?Bud? Grubbs (Corene), Palmetto, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was born August 4, 1942 in St. Joseph, Missouri, son of Sylvia and Jesse Matthews. He graduated from Faucett High School and married Janice Polleck on May 21, 1966. He served in the United States Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He started his career at Crouch Bros as a diesel mechanic then moved to TWA working on airplanes and ended his career at American Airlines working on ground equipment. He was also a dedicated farmer throughout his life. Earl enjoyed working on cars, caring for his cattle and riding on his tractor. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Sammy and Jesse Matthews, three sisters, Velma Ritchie, Viola Kneib, and Mary Huffman. Survivors include, wife, Janice Matthews of the home, a son, Wayne Matthews of Gower, MO, two daughters, Heather (Trey) Hughes and Misty Matthews of Dallas, TX, three grandchildren, Gunnar Matthews, Hayden Hughes and Maverick Hughes, a brother, Virgil (Dixie) Matthews and two sisters, Joyce (Bob) Frakes and Donna (Marvin) Huffman of St. Joseph, MO., and many nieces and nephews.

Tabitha J. Chapman-Walker, 77, St. Joseph, MO; passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Tabitha was born on April 25, 1938 in Sparta, Missouri to the late Lester and Bessie (Thompson) Chapman. She was a graduate of Sparta High School.
Mrs. Walker moved to St. Joseph in the 1960s. She was a homemaker and member of the bible study at Westchester Village.
Tabitha loved to plant, knit and crotchet, and crocheted many quilts for senior citizens throughout the area..
Tabitha was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed playing with her grandkids and visiting with her friends and family. She was very patriotic, and extremely proud of her family’s military service.
Tabitha’s family includes her four children; Tammy R. Beck, Texas; Jimmy “J.J.” Walker, St. Joseph, MO; Teresa “Terri” Mitchell, St. Joseph, MO and Charity Brennan, Colorado; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; four brothers, the late Glen E. Hudson, Wichita, KS; Charles Chapman, Wichita, KS; Roy (Brenda) Chapman , Sparta, MO and Ernie (Joyce) Chapman, Virginia Beach, VA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Walker was cremated under the direction of the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where a visitor’s registration book will be available to sign. A Private Family Inurnment will be held at the Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield, MO; at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Tabitha’s memory to the American Cancer Society.

He was born May 20, 1950 to Wilbur and Vesta (Campbell) Taylor in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Billy loved to dance at the Moose Club and liked to paint and create rugs on the loom. He was also a volunteer at Saxton Country Villa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

She worked as a controller at TWA for 22 years.

Margaret Bessie Findley

Margaret Findley, 88, Maryville, Missouri died April 27, 2015 at SSM St.
Francis Hospital.

Margaret was born July 1, 1926, in Bedison Missouri to Ralph Wallace Pratt
and Ida Roena Shinabargar. She married Garland Edward Findley on August
21, 1950, in Maryville.

She was a graduate of Maryville High School and Northwest Missouri State
Teacher’s College. She retired after a 36 1/2 year teaching career. She was
a special education instructor in the intermediate grades at North Nodaway
School, Hopkins and Pickering.

She taught at North Nodaway for 24 years. Previously, she taught at
Guilford, Skidmore, Sheridan and Gaynor.

Mrs. Findley went back to college after nearly 25 years of teaching to
obtain her special education certificate.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Preceding in death were her parents, husband Edward Findley ( May 30, 2014),
sister Mary Ruth Brogan and brother Charles Pratt.

She is survived by her son Ralph (Judy) Findley, Unionville, Missouri;
daughters: Rosa Lea Lancey, Savannah, Missouri and Garland (Paul) George,
Maryville; grandchildren: Jo Ann (Darrin) Harvey, Charlie Findley, Amy
Findley, Jeffrey Findley, Teresa (Chris) Cluck, Denise (Jeremy) Peters,
Laura (Mike) Bissen, Karen (Nathan) Dingman, Cathy George, Tisch (John)
Erdman, McKechnie (Justin) Reese, 14 great and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was born October 4, 1921 in St. Joseph, Mo daughter of Ladislaus and Anna (Macewicz) Smygel. She worked at Armour and Swift Companies, retired from Chase Candy Company in 1975. She was a Committee Woman for the Democratic Party of the 9th Ward, Past President and 50 year member of the Entre Nous Club. She was member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the Alter Society and sang in the church choir. She is a present member of the St. James Catholic Church and choir member. Virginia sang Polish songs at Christmas and Easter or whenever someone requested.
Virginia was a devout Catholic and once shook the hand of Pope John Paul in Poland while visiting there. She was a bowler and loved to dance the Polka and to travel. She also made the Polish nut bread (Povitica) at Holidays and she loved to go on bus trips to casinos.
Virginia was preceded in death by husband, Ronald Swartz, infant son, Joseph Swartz, one sister, Evelyn Ann Smygel. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn (John) Clemens of St. Joseph, MO, daughter, Kathleen Young of St. Joseph, MO, son, Bernard (Patricia) Swartz of St. Joseph, MO, six grandchildren, Nicole Swartz, Natalie (Seth) Bryant, Nathaniel (Krystal) Swartz, Nolan Swartz, Lesley (Phil) Dormeyer, Dena (Steve) Roberts, and nine great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at the St. James Catholic Church with Father Evan Harkins, celebrant. One of thirteen children, Louise was born on March 21, 1923 in Pierce City,
MO to Joseph and Anna Katzfey, who preceded her in death.

She married Clarence S. Eck on June 30, 1942 at St. Agnes Church on the
prairie near Sarcoxie, MO. They moved to Maryville in 1965.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1997, son, Ronald
in 2001; and siblings, Emma Palmer, Marie Wormington, Leo, Clarence, Joe,
Francis, Edmund and Richard Katzfey.

Survivors include her children: Clarence (Nancy) Eck, Huntsville, AL; ,
Harold (Karen) Eck, Foristell, MO; Carolyn (Lyle) Burns, Bartlesville, OK; ,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Killackey; parents, Louis and Margaret (Johnson) Pinkston; and son, John Killackey.
Survivors include son, Louis Killackey, St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren, Sean Killackey and Addie Monson (Josh); great-grandchildren, Jack and Sydney Monson and Brianne Killackey; and daughter-in-law, Linda Whitley.

He was born December 7, 1919 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Harold married Margaret Elaine Hamer on April 8, 1939 and she preceded him in death in 1998.
He graduated from Benton High School Class of 1938. Harold proudly served in the Army Air Corps During World War II. He retired from Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad in June 1979 as Superintendent after 40 plus years. He later worked as the Director of Golf at the Windbrook Country Club.
Harold was a gifted athelete having played and excelled at both football and baseball in his younger years. He also loved to golf and especially enjoyed teaching it. He leaves behind a family he loved very much.
Mr. Shipman was also preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Elizabeth (Kerns) Shipman; and brother, Donald Shipman.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia Rae Hewlett; grandchildren, Lori Hewlett Schuetz (Jeff), Robert T. Hewlett III (Lesley Stipetic), Bradley E. Hewlett (Rebecca) and Christina Hewlett; sister, Geraldine “GiGi” L.
